Pod Penthouse Scheme - Hackney Road, Hoxton

We were approached by a developer who wanted to add two new build penthouses to the top of their existing block of flats in Hoxton, London. The penthouses were to be pre-fabricated to help minimize work on site, reducing the impact on the residents. We provided detailed design drawings and a specification which complied with all regulations, with particular note to fire regs as the building is over 18m in height! We appointed a principle designer to oversee the health and safety aspects before and during construction works, as you can imagine there would be many challenges in getting this built safely! 
We were involved in Tender stage with the developers in-house quantity surveyors. 
An interesting project, all-be-it not likely to go ahead on site any time soon.
